BLUE MOUNTAINS TOUR
City Tour, Naturalista, Meal included
Travel past Sydney's inner west residential suburbs to the foot of the Blue Mountains. En-route, you will visit the Featherdale Wildlife Park, with a large private collection of unique Australian fauna. You will see koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, birds of the rainforest, birds from inland, colourful parrots and reptiles. Leaving the park, you will follow the trail of Australia's early explorers - Blaxland, Wentworth & Lawson - as the coach climbs high into the mountains to the townships of Leura and Katoomba. The Blue Mountains are so named because of the blue haze caused by rays of light striking dust particles and small droplets of moisture in the atmosphere. The haze is an interesting scientific phenomenon, especially noticeable due to the slopes being heavily timbered with Eucalyptus trees. You will get a good impression of the area stopping at various vantage points and looking across the immense valleys to interesting rock formations like the famous Three Sisters. Weather permitting you will have a short bushwalk to experience the feel of the area. Enjoy a ride at Scenic World Blue Mountains with 360° views, taking in the famous Three Sisters, the magnificent Katoomba Falls, Mt Solitary and the near endless vista of the Jamison Valley. You will enjoy some time at leisure in the quaint village of Leura, exploring the local art & craft galleries, antique shops and boutiques. You will travel along Cliff Drive to view the Jamieson Valley and you will see the famous "Three Sisters" granite rock formation and the Giant Stairway.
