O que nós fazemos
  • After arriving at the Colombo port in the early morning, we take care of customs formalities and reach the airport on comfortable fully air-conditioned coaches to get on the plane to New Delhi, the vibrant metropolis that is the capital of India filled with monuments, markets, art and culture.

  • We get off the plane and, accompanied by our guide, embark on an interesting sightseeing tour of New Delhi by coach.

  • The city’s most important monuments pass before our eyes, including the official residence of the President of India, the imposing memorial known as India Gate as well as the Embassy and Secretariat buildings.

  • We then reach a luxury hotel for our check-in. We only take our essentials with us as the heavier luggage is loaded on the coach. We dine at the hotel and spend a pleasant night of rest.

  • In the morning, we meet in the hall and get on our coach where we enjoy our packed breakfast as we head to the train station to reach the city of Agra in the north of India with its superb monuments dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries.

  • Once there, we get on a coach for a sightseeing tour of Fatehpur Sikri, the so-called City of Victory founded in 1569 by Emperor Akbar and now uninhabited and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • We then reach our hotel, where we enjoy a buffet lunch before checking in to our room, where we can take a relaxing break.

  • In the afternoon, we visit the Agra Fort dating back to the 16th century and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its 2.5 km long red sandstone walls enclose the imperial city of the Mughal dynasty.

  • On the way back to Agra, those who wish can stop for some shopping before getting back to the hotel where a fun evening awaits us: we attend a typical Kathak dance show and enjoy a delicious dinner.

  • On the third day, we get up nice and early to visit a monument every tourist in the world should see at least once in their lifetime: the Taj Mahal, universally renowned as a jewel of Islamic art and one of the seven wonders of the modern world.

  • Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Taj Mahal has been considered the symbol of eternal love since 1632: it was commissioned by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died after giving birth to their 14th child.

  • This imposing white marble mausoleum holds the remains of the two spouses and is truly breath-taking due to its intricate carvings and delicate flower ornaments made of polychrome gemstones. It has four minarets at the corners and is surrounded by gardens and water tanks in the best Islamic tradition.

  • At the end of our visit, we head to the New Delhi airport and enjoy our packed lunch before boarding the plane taking us to Mangalore for the transfer to the ship.
