In this tour, you will visit the most popular sightseeing spots in Kanazawa. Kanazawa was a castle town of the Kaga Clan. The residences that top- and middle-class samurais lived were located in the Naga-machi area. In the modern age, those houses begin to disappear. However, the alleys and the mud walls of Nagayamon gates (row house gates) remained. Kenrokuen Garden is a beautiful Japanese garden with an area of 11.4 hectares located next to Kanazawa Castle. From its scale and beauty, it is regarded as one of the most beautiful feudal lords' gardens in Japan. You can enjoy the beauty of the flowers and trees in the garden. Chaya is a traditional place where geisha (traditional female Japanese entertainers) entertains customers by performing dances and playing Japanese traditional musical instruments since the Edo period. The largest one of the chaya districts in Kanazawa is the Higashi Chaya district. The historical rows of this teahouse town along with Kyoto's Gion and Kanazawa's Kazue-machi have been designated as Japan's cultural assets. The Omi-cho Market has been contributing to the locals for more than 280 years. There are around 170 stores including a large number of fish stores , vegetable stores, fruit stores, dried food, grocery stores, and clothing stores. Lunch will be served Japanese set menu.
