DICOVERING BRISBANE AND LONE PINE KOALA SANCTUARY
City Tour, Naturalista
Your coach will set off from Brisbane, travelling over the Story Bridge, past the old Customs House and Eagle Street Pier, and crossing through the city past the Botanical Gardens, Parliament House and the Treasury Casino, before crossing the river past South Bank Parklands. You will then travel to Mount Coot-tha Lookout for a panoramic view of the city. Your next stop is Lone Pine, the world's largest Koala Sanctuary. Get ready to be captivated by Australia's native flora and fauna. Lone Pine is famous for giving visitors the opportunity to get up close and personal with Australia's precious wildlife. You can cuddle Australia's best-known ambassador, the koala, at any time of the day and have your unique souvenir photograph taken with one. Strolling around the peaceful, natural settings of the sanctuary, you will encounter a wide variety of native wildlife, including wombats, birds, bats, reptiles, echidnas, Tasmanian devils, dingoes and more. Educational talks about the animals are presented by wildlife officers throughout the day, making this a memorable, educational experience. And after leaving Lone Pine, let the sightseeing recommence! You will stop off in the Central Business District where you can decide whether to do a spot of souvenir shopping or some independent sightseeing, before being transferred back to the wharf to join your ship.
