Mt. Rokko Night View Tour
Lunch not included
In this tour, you will visit Mt. Rokkosan for night view and Shopping Area in Kobe Harbour. Meriken Park is a nice waterfront park in Kobe's port area. Built on an outcropping of reclaimed land, the park is covered in grassy lawn and open courtyards dotted with a collection of modern art installations and fountains. It is home to some of the city's more iconic contemporary architecture such as the red Kobe Port Tower. The park was devastated by the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake, but has now become a popular spot for locals and tourists again.
Mt. Rokkosan Observatory is an unique observatory at the top of Mt. Rokko, which has become another landmark of Kobe. It was designed by the remarkable architect, Hiroshi Sambuichi. The outside of the observatory is all covered in small frames, which have been designed with the image of leaves of a big tree. Each frame lets an air in and go into an ice room (where natural ice made in winter season is kept in) inside the observatory in order to cool it.
